Livingston clinch the league title

On Saturday at Oriam Livingston won the league title for the first time in their history with a 31-27 win over local rivals Edinburgh. It was a tight match throughout but Livingston edged ahead in the last 10 minutes. They followed up this victory with a 34-24 victory over East Kilbride at the same venue. This meant they have went through the season unbeaten. This is a great achievement for the young team led by coach Allan Stokes. It is the realisation of all of the development work carried out over the past 10 years and demonstrates the strong youth development programme in West Lothian. They will now face Warrington Wolves in the Play-off for the British title on the 3rd of June in Oldham.
